RLO Power Rankings | Edition #12 (15/9/2021)

Welcome to the RLO Power Rankings.

The top Oceanic teams are ranked by a committee of Community Leaders, who base the rankings off tournament results from Majors, Minors and Premier events in the local and international circuits. During the regular season, we will look to update the power rankings around every two or so weeks, however, during offseason periods updates will understandably be made sparingly.

The twelfth edition of the RLO Power Rankings looks at the results from the following tournaments:

Please note that currently this edition is in reflection of current off-season teams and results and is subject to change with the continuation of roster movement.

1. - Ground Zero ( - )

Express, Torsos, Amphis, Jimmah (C)

Off-Season Absence

Ground Zero showed success and domination during RLCS Season X. However, due to personal commitments, they have declined invitations to partake in The Gauntlet Season 4, and other events.

Their break from competitive play is vastly deserved. The team in green are tipped to be in competitive form come the start of the next season.

2. - Renegades ( +1 )

CJCJ, Kamii, Fever, Zukoe (S), LBP (C)

Determined to Succeed

During the off-season, Renegades have added Lachlan "LBP" Parker as the team's head performance coach, looking to establish a new mental approach towards competition, as seen with the successful approach of Ground Zero.

Whilst they have been posting multiple victories in a vast range of events, the roster has been challenged by Donkey Squad who have taken advantage of slow starts from The Renegades.

This battle looks to be a feature in the newest Gauntlet season, setting up a great rivalry.

3rd - Donkey Squad ( +7 )

Kaka, Finn, Tango, Joshuadx7 (S)

On the Rise!

Donkey Squad has replaced Matro with the young Tango during the off-season, sparking a new competitive and constricting playstyle, punishing mistakes and mishaps from their opponents.

Through developing synergy in Yumi_cheeseman's show matches, the roster has carried encouraging form into The Gauntlet, with a dominating performance against R!OT Gaming and Dire Wolves

4. - Dire Wolves ( - )

Fiberr, Misty, Walcott, Vive (C)

Veteran Provides Consistency

Following the conclusion of RLCS X, the departure of ZeN saw the wolfpack search for their newest member.

After trialling multiple players, Dire Wolves have welcomed Walcott, joining the mechanically strong duo of Fiberr and Misty.

The team showed strong performances in both Alienware Tournament Series and Yumi_Cheeseman's Showmatches. Dire Wolves continues to show flashes of Top 3 potential, now hunting down the Donkey Squad.

5. R!OT Gaming ( NEW )

Zenulous, Mock, Superlachie

Newly Formed

Following the disbandment of the Overt roster, Superlachie has found a new home with the formally known Ballers, featuring Mock, Zenulous and Zayd.

With the roster still lacking sufficient results to provide an accurate placement on the power rankings, first impressions look to show positive signs of this roster being a strong darkhorse throughout the Gauntlet season.

6. - Cringe Society ( -4 )

Decka, Cavemanben, Siki, ENiGMA (C)

Wake Up Call Delivered

During the off-season, the unexpected retirement of Drippay has seen the introduction of Cavemanben, with Siki also being promoted from the substitute. This has seen this roster lacking synergy, with Siki stranded overseas due to the Pandemic.

The first showcase of the unified trio was week 1 of The Gauntlet, where Siki only arrived home two days prior, thus not providing an accurate view of how the roster currently stacks up.

With the team now being sent to The Glove to requalify, the challenge will be on them to see how they perform.

7. - Vort Central ( -1 )

Vortexioz, Snowy, Cobbo, Lunr (S)

Sparking a Return

Following the conclusion of RLCS X, Snowy announced his retirement from competitive play, however, from recent accounts he has returned, as traditional Oceania retirements go.

After being released from Canberra Havoc, the roster has selected Cobbo as the newest addition to the roster, preparing for the upcoming season.

Whilst the journey in The Glove this week had its ups and downs, the team has continued to battle strong in the Alienware Tournament Series, rebuilding their synergy.

8 - Bad Habits ( NEW )

Kuma, Jaffa, xAimz

9. - Sup ( NEW )

Hntr, Gussy, Shorez

10. - Men's Club ( NEW )

Sour, Shmoopernator, Airmac

11. - Bandits ESC ( +3 )

Change, Homie, Aza, Ceeva (S)

12. - Rancid Rats Reborn ( NEW )

SSteve, delusioN, Lerky

JBL Quantum Team on the Rise

Following their outstanding off-season development, Donkey Squad has shown outstanding growth and grit against the top teams. Superb results on a consistent basis see them awarded with the first-ever 'JBL Quantum Team on the Rise'.

We look forward to observing their continued development ahead of the next RLCS season.
