It’s that time of year once again! Soon we will be looking to our annual Community Awards to close the chapter on 2022! The Community Awards are presented in celebration of the amazing players, teams, and community members that shine brighter than the rest in our world of Oceanic Rocket League. As always, we invite you, the community, to not only join us in our celebrations, but also to have your say on who our award winners will be! We’ll be awarding winners across a multitude of categories.
This year's community awards will feature the following awards categories;
2022 RL Oceania Community Tournament of the Year
2022 RL Oceania Academic Tournament of the Year
2022 RL Oceania Streamer of the Year
2022 RL Oceania Administrator of the Year
2022 RL Oceania Best New Commentator
2022 RL Oceania Commentator of the Year
2022 RL Oceania Coach of the Year
2022 RL Oceania Goal of the Year
2022 RL Oceania Rising Star
2022 RL Oceania Team of the Year
2022 RL Oceania Player of the Year
In 2022, two phases will help determine who our nominees and winners are.
Phase One - Public Voting - December 3rd to December 16th - NOW OPEN HERE
The first phase will see all categories opened to public voting, as it has been since the inception of the Community Awards. Only residents of Oceania are permitted to submit votes during this phase. Public Voting will determine winners for almost every category, excluding the 2022 Rising Star, 2022 Commentator of the Year and the 2022 Player of the Year, which will be decided in our second phase. The 2022 Content Creator of the year will feature an option to vote for a nominee that isn’t already listed in the Community Awards.

Phase Two - Peer Voting - December 17th - December 21st
To determine the winners of the 2022 Rising Star, 2022 Commentator of the Year and 2022 Player of the Year, these categories will be subject to peer voting.
To find the 2022 Commentator of the Year, the top 10 entries from the Public Voting phase will be invited to place votes on their peers in the same category, which will ultimately determine the winner.
As for the players, we will find the top 15 players in the Player of the Year category through Public Voting. These 20 players will then be invited to place votes on other players to determine the 2022 Player of the Year. They will not be permitted to vote for themselves.
The aforementioned 15 players will also be invited to place votes on the top 5 players from the 2022 Rising Star category, who will also be invited to place votes on their peers to determine the winner.
Award Night - December 22nd
On the 22nd of December, we will be live with the 2022 RL Oceania Community Awards, where we will be announcing all the winners! We look forward to celebrating this awesome year of Rocket Powered action and hope to see you there!
Remember that Public Voting is open from now until the 16th of December, so be sure to make your submissions!
