It’s that time of year once again! With the calendar close to turning a new page, we’ll be hosting our annual community awards for 2021! The awards are presented in celebration of the amazing players, teams and community members that go above and beyond for Oceanic Rocket League. We invited you to not only join us in our celebrations, but also to have your say on who our many winners will be! We’ll be awarding winners across a number of categories, some of which you will be familiar with, whilst others are new additions to the Community Awards.
This years community awards will feature the following awards categories;
2021 RL Oceania Community Tournament of the Year
2021 RL Oceania Academic Tournament of the Year
2021 RL Oceania Streamer of the Year
2021 RL Oceania Administrator of the Year
2021 RL Oceania Best New Commentator
2021 RL Oceania Commentator of the Year
2021 RL Oceania Coach of the Year
2021 RL Oceania Goal of the Year
2021 RL Oceania Rising Star
2021 RL Oceania Team of the Year
2021 RL Oceania Player of the Year
Once again, three phases will help determine who our nominees and winners are.
Phase One - Nominations - Nov 2nd to Nov 14th
In our first phase we invite you, the public, to nominate entrants for 2 of our 11 categories; the 2021 Streamer of the Year and the 2021 Goal of the Year.
You may submit your nominations here prior to the next phase. Submitted nominations will be reviewed and once approved, will be put forward for the second phase; Public Voting.
Phase Two - Public Voting - Nov 15th to November 28th
The second phase will see all categories opened to public voting, as it has been since the inception of the Community Awards. Only residents of Oceania are permitted to submit votes during this phase. Public Voting will determine winners for almost every category, excluding the 2021 Rising Star, 2021 Commentator of the Year and the 2021 Player of the Year, which will be decided in our final phase.

Phase Three - Peer Voting - Nov 29th - Dec 3rd
To determine the winners of the 2021 Rising Star, 2021 Commentator of the Year and 2021 Player of the Year, these categories will be subject to peer voting.
To find the 2021 Commentator of the Year, the top 10 entries from the public voting phase will be invited to place on their peers in the same category, which will ultimately determine the winner.
As for the players, we will find the top 20 players in the Player of the Year category through public voting. These 20 players will then be invited to place votes on other players to determine the 2021 Player of the Year. They will not be permitted to vote for themselves.
These 20 players will also be invited to place votes on the top 10 players from the 2021 Rising Star category, who will also be invited to place votes on their peers to determine the winner.
Award Night - December 4th
On the 4th of December, we will be live with the 2021 RL Oceania Community Awards, where we will be announcing all the winners! We look forward to celebrating this awesome year of Rocket Powered action and hope to see you there!
