Another year passes on the calendar, and once again we look forward to our annual RLO Community Awards. A proud tradition, now 8 years strong, where the community comes together to celebrate the biggest and brightest stars, both on and off the pitch.
Who will be the Rising Star in 2023? Who will be named as the Team of the Year? And who will be our 2023 Player of the Year? As always, we invite you, the community, to help us determine our award winners!
This year's community awards will feature the following awards categories;

2023 RL Oceania Academic Tournament of the Year
2023 RL Oceania Content Creator of the Year
2023 RL Oceania Administrator of the Year
2023 RL Oceania Best New Commentator
2023 RL Oceania Commentator of the Year
2023 RL Oceania Coach of the Year
2023 RL Oceania Goal of the Year
2023 RL Oceania Rising Star
2023 RL Oceania Team of the Year
2023 RL Oceania Player of the Year
This year, much like last year, the Community Awards will follow two phases:
Phase One - Public Voting - Nov 21st to Dec 4th, 11:59pm AEDT - NOW OPEN HERE
The first phase will see all categories opened to public voting, as it has been since the inception of the Community Awards. Only residents of Oceania are permitted to submit votes during this phase. Public Voting will determine winners for almost every category, excluding the 2023 Rising Star, 2023 Commentator of the Year, and the 2023 Player of the Year, which will be decided in our second phase. The 2023 Content Creator of the Year will feature an option to vote for a nominee who isn’t already listed in the Community Awards.
Phase Two - Peer Voting - December 4th to December 11th
To determine the winners of the 2023 Rising Star, 2023 Commentator of the Year, and 2023 Player of the Year, these categories will be subject to peer voting.
To find the 2023 Commentator of the Year, the top 10 entries from the Public Voting phase will be invited to place votes on their peers in the same category, which will ultimately determine the winner.
As for the players, we will find the top 10 players in the Player of the Year category through Public Voting. These 10 players, along with our top 5 commentators, and our top 5 players from the Rising Star category, will be invited to place votes to determine the 2023 Player of the Year. Players will not be permitted to vote for themselves.
The aforementioned players and commentators will also be invited to place votes on the top 5 players from the 2023 Rising Star category, who will also be invited to place votes on their peers to determine the winner.
Awards Night - December 14th, 7:00pm AEDT
On the 14th of December, we will be live with the 2023 RL Oceania Community Awards, where we will be announcing all the winners! We look forward to celebrating another awesome year of Rocket Powered action and hope to see you there!
Remember that Public Voting is open from now until the 4th of December, so be sure to make your submissions!
