RL Oceania has proudly partnered with the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation to present RLO For the Kids, a three day charity event between the 1st and 3rd of October.
The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation is an independent Health Promotion charity. Established in 1986, to date they have contributed almost $200 million to support sick children and their families. We’re really excited to be working with the foundation, bringing the Rocket League community together to do our part. The fun starts on the Friday, with an invitational draft tournament featuring teams representing some of Australia's most well-known companies! They’ll all have the opportunity to draft professional players into their team through auctions, where they can bid for the top talent on offer. Proceeds from these auctions are directed to the SCH Foundation. Following the draft, the finalized teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket, winner takes all! Next up on the Saturday, is our open qualifiers. Pretty straight forward, we welcome all Oceanic players to compete for chance to play in the Main Event on Sunday. To register to compete in the Open Qualifier, head over to the Smash GG Page. Sunday will feature a single-elimination knockout bracket, consisting of 4 invited teams, up against 4 qualified teams. Here teams will compete for a pool of $500 in Steam gift cards.
We’ll be broadcasting all the action on Friday and Sunday over on our Twitch Channel. If you wish to donate between now and the end of the event, you can head over to the Tiltify page here!
Make sure to follow us on Twitter @RLOceania for updates on the tournament. We can't wait to bring you some of the best Oceanic Rocket League action! See you out on the pitch!
