We were tasked with providing tournament administration and broadcast production for the regional qualifier stage of the 2022 Rocket League Commonwealth Esports Championships, coinciding with the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

THE COMMONWEALTH
ESPORTS CHAMPIONSHIPS
In February of 2022, Common Wealth Sport announced the inaugural Commonwealth Esports Championship. Staged in Birmingham, England, the Championships is a tangible result of the strategic partnership between the Global Esports Federation and the Commonwealth Games Federation. The new competition aimed to promote Esports throughout the Commonwealth, increase its level of awareness, improve standards, and inspire future talent.
Exploring esports is one of the recommendations outlined in the new Commonwealth Sport 2026/30 Strategic Roadmap. The aspiration is that the inaugural event will engage new audiences, along with enabling Commonwealth Sport to further explore the impact and potential of Esports as part of their roadmap.
Our Requirements for this event.

Integrate Commonwealth Sport’s identity into a sufficient Rocket League Broadcast Package.

Production of high-quality online broadcasts for the Africa, Asia, and European Regional Qualifiers.

Administration of every match in all Oceania, Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and European Regional Qualifiers.

Consult with GEF representatives in the lead-up to the Regional Qualifiers.

Liaise with Psyonix and Epic games to ensure all standard tournament guidelines were met.
