April 20th - April 25th 2022
We returned to 2022’s ANZAC Day for another annual showing of top tier rocket powered action. With partners in Enegerzier and The Chiefs, we went full boost on the 2022 Anzac Day Invitational.
A PROUD TRADITION
WITH DUE RESPECT
The Oceanic Rocket League community has proudly hit the pitch almost every Anzac Day since the launch of the game. It is our way of saying thank you for all that has been given and honor those whom we have lost.

BRAND INTEGRATIONS
Using an intricate mix of broadcast tools and API integrations, the ANZAC Invitational was the first Rocket League tournament to feature a 'brandname' Goal Replay, in the ‘Powered by Energizer Replay'.
This put Energizer front and centre during the tournament's most prominent moments. Every big game, every big moment, Energizer was along for the ride.
YOU SUPPORT US
WE SUPPORT YOU
Energizer provided the Anzac Day Invitational with an immense amount of support. In return, we looked into a multitude of ways to integrate their brand into our show, further beyond our goal replays.
We worked closely with our partners to understand their goals, both inside and outside of the tournament. This gave us strong direction in creating effective content and broadcast integrations throughout the event.
Team Focused Pre-Show
Our main event show opened with a 30-minute long team-focused segment where we interviewed a member of every team prior to the start of the match day. This showcased the personalities of our competing talent, to a greater extent than ever before.
PUSHING OUR
BROADCAST
"
Introducing a global brand into a new space is never easy, but working alongside the RLO team was by far the most seamless experience I have had with a tournament organizer. The team came up with incredibly creative ways to embed the brand, and completely handled the reins they were given, allowing us to sit back and enjoy the show. I cannot recommend them more highly for Rocket League tournaments in our region.

An Impactful Opening
Following the pre-show, we produced an opening sequence to mark the start of the main event.
This began with a welcoming statement from our Managing Director, followed by a reading of the Ode of Remembrance, The Last Post, and a moment of silence.
To cap off the segment, we introduced the details of the main tournament and its competing teams.
FRESH TOOLS
Prior to the 2022 Invitational, Psyonix released 3D assets for use in community tournaments. We were the first in the world to take advantage of these assets for creative use surrounding a tournament.
A TOUGH
TIME OF YEAR
With the 2022 RLCS Winter Major scheduled close to Anzac Day, along with other surrounding events, the structure of the 2022 Anzac Day Invitational suffered. We were only able to schedule 3 days of online competition, hindering the amount of matches we could broadcast.
In future, we will look to ensure the Anzac Day Invitational has more breathing room in the calendar, allowing for a better showcase of teams and more content creation.
