The expansion of the fabled series will see teams earn points and prizes throughout a series of weekly multi-formatted events. There'll be trials and tribulations set forth for a champion to emerge. With $30,000 on the line, do you have what it takes to conquer the region down under?!
2023 EVENT ECOSYSTEM
This season will introduce a new structure to advancing into and through the Gauntlet. Helping construct the next era of teams and competition for our region.

THE TRIAL
KICKOFF EVENT
Kicking off the season is The Trial. An action-packed two-day tournament where EVERY Oceanic team enters to fight for their starting positions in the regular Gauntlet season.
The further you go the higher you climb. A gruelling Double Elimination bracket is waiting for those who want to chase the glory!
Teams who make it into the Top 4 will advance into Week 1 of The Gauntlet. Where teams that place 5th to 14th will qualify for the first week of The Challengers.
THE OPEN
TIER THREE
The Open, as the name suggests, is a weekly open tournament for teams to earn their chance to compete in The Challengers.
The Open will start with all teams split into a total of 4 groups, competing in a Double Elimination.
2 teams per group advance to a single elimination bracket, accompanied by the 4 relegated teams from The Challengers. The top 4 teams will advance to The Challengers in the following week.
THE CHALLENGER
TIER TWO
The Challenger serves as the intermediate stage between The Open and The Gauntlet. Providing the arena to prove their ascension into The Gauntlet.
Teams from The Open will go head to head with 6 other teams for 1 ticket to that week's Gauntlet!
THE GAUNTLET
TIER ONE
The fabled Gauntlet, created by Oceania’s very own yumi_cheeseman, is the epicentre of top-tier rocket-powered competition. The region's top 5 teams, challenging each other, one after the other until an ultimate winner is decided.
PLAYOFFS
Staying true to the original Gauntlet, this season we're bringing back playoffs ... but this time with a classic OCE twist!
POINTS
Across 5 weekly cycles of The Open, Challenger and Gauntlet, teams can earn points to qualify for the Playoffs. Points, along with prize money, will be awarded dependent on a team’s finishing position each week.
After 5 weekly cycles, the top 8 teams ranked by points will be invited to the Playoffs to fight for even more prize money and The Gauntlet - Season 5 championship!
